Condo EV charging is an MCST decision — we make it an easy one
Whether you are an MCST weighing up EV chargers or a resident asking for an EV charger for condo parking, the starting point is the same. The car park is common property, so charging usually happens at shared chargers and the management council decides. The fastest route is a clear proposal — we help put one together.
We start with a site and load study, then help you present options and costs to the MCST. Once approved, we install shared chargers with fair per-user billing and load management, handle the certification, and phase the rollout as demand grows.

Can I install my own EV charger in my condo car park?
It is the MCST's decision, because the car park is common property. Most condos install shared chargers with per-user billing rather than individual units. We can help you put a proposal in front of your MCST.
How do residents pay for charging?
Through OCPP chargers linked to a management system. The MCST sets the rates, residents start and stop with RFID or an app, and the system handles the metering and payment, with usage reports for the council.
Will EV chargers overload the building's supply?
Not with load management. The available supply is shared across the bays and throttled at peak, so you can add chargers without tripping capacity. We confirm the headroom with a load study before anything is quoted.
What if only a few residents drive electric at first?
Start with the bays you need and add more as residents switch to EVs. The rollout is planned in phases from the start, so the first chargers do not have to cover every future driver.
How often do shared condo chargers need to be inspected?
LTA requires a charger outside a landed home to be inspected and maintained by a charger equipment specialist every 6 months and by a Licensed Electrical Worker every 12 months. The charger's owner is responsible for making sure it happens.
Do you maintain the chargers?
Yes. We offer yearly maintenance plans for condos and other businesses. Contact us for what a plan covers.
Who registers the chargers with LTA?
We do not include the LTA registration fee in our quote, and we do not do the LTA registration for you. Registration is done by the charger's owner, and the fee is paid to LTA.
